The Volunter Skillsbank initiative is managed by The Centre for Continuing Education Inc., originally funded by Department of Planning and Community Development and in 2008, an ACFE Community Learning Partnership. It is supported by the Rural City of Wangaratta, the Alpine Valley Community Leadership Program and Albury Wodonga Volunteer Resource Bureau.

 

 

 

 

The Centre for Continuing Education

The Centre for Continuing Education Inc (The Centre) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) providing nationally recognised training. The Centre is a Community College focused on adult education and service provision based in North East Victoria.

 

 

 

 

Rural City of Wangaratta

The Rural City of Wangaratta was formed from the merger of the City of Wangaratta, the Shires of Oxley and Wangaratta and parts of the Shires of Beechworth, Benalla and Yarrawonga. Originally known as the Shire of Milawa when the municipality was created on 18 November 1994 it was renamed the Rural City of Wangaratta on 29 June 1995.

 

 

 

 

Alpine Valleys Community Leadership Program

The Alpine Valleys Community Leadership Program (AVCLP) is the initiative of representatives of regional economic, community and agency groups. It is modelled on the successful Williamson Leadership Program and the Fairley Community Leadership Program and also draws on the experiences of the Australian Rural Leadership Program.

 

 

 

 

Albury Wodonga Volunteer Resource Bureau

The Albury Wodonga Volunteer Resource Bureau (the Bureau) is one of a number of such organisations throughout Australia that receives funding from the Commonwealth Government, state governments and local government, to increase awareness of and foster participation in voluntary work in their regions/communites.

 

 

 

 

Adult, Community and Further Education

The Adult, Community and Further Education (ACFE) Board is a statutory authority under the Education and Training Reform Act 2006. Its role is to plan and promote adult learning, allocate resources, develop policies, and advise the Minister for Higher Education and Skills on matters related to adult education in Victoria.
